dailystar.co.ukThe Clifton pub, a Wetherspoon's in Sedgley, in the West Midlands.The 24-year-old had tried to intervene in a fight on Saturday when he was fatally injured.Police told Birmingham Live that he was injured at around midnight on Saturday.He was violently punched and kicked and sadly, despite the efforts of paramedics, pronounced dead at the scene.A post mortem examination was completed yesterday and further tests will be needed to identify the precise cause of death.A tribute released on behalf of Mr Cox's heartbroken family reads: "Reece was a great son, partner and dad; a gentle giant who was loved by everybody.
