Police swarm Glasgow street as one arrested over 'disorder'

One male has been arrested after cops were called to reports of alleged disorder on a street in Glasgow city centre last night.

The alleged incident took place around 7pm amid reports several youths allegedly causing a disturbance outside a premises on Glassford Street.

Officers attended the scene and arrested one male in relation. Footage taken at the site, which was shared on social media, shows hoards of blue-lit police vehicles parked on the street alongside tens of uniformed officers who gather in the middle of the road.Crowds of young people can be seen lining the pavement and spilling out onto the street, while a van is stationed on nearby Argyle Street to prevent pedestrians or motorists from approaching.It is understood no one was injured during the alleged incident.
