Man rushed to hospital after Glasgow 'street attack' as cops cordon off road

A man has been rushed to hospital after an alleged street attack in Glasgow. Emergency services were called to the scene on Shettleston Road at around 8pm on Saturday, October 29.A large police cordon was thrown up by investigators, who discovered a 29-year-old man had been badly hurt.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to his injuries but his current condition is not known.Officers remained in the area for several hours before the road was eventually reopened.

Police Scotland have launched a probe into the alleged assault. This morning, they confirmed that a 59-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the alleged incident.A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 8pm on Saturday, October 29, police were called to a report of a 29-year-old man seriously assaulted on Shettleston Road, Glasgow.
