Police have seized 17 dogs following a brutal dog attack on a six-year-old girl in Trafford on Sunday. Emergency services were called to Ackers Lane in Carrington, Trafford at around 2.40pm to a report of a child who had suffered injuries caused by dogs.
Horrified neighbours said they looked on as another young girl and a man fought the dogs off the child, who was then carried off unconscious by a woman believed to be her mother.
She is now understood to be in a stable condition in hospital. Officers seized four dogs and nine puppies on Sunday, and say they have recovered a further four dogs today.
