Police name tragic young man who died after crashing car on Ayrshire street

Police have today named a man that was killed on an Ayrshire road. Joshua Crawford suffered severe injuries after the car he was driving crashed on Ardrossan's Lawson Drive on Tuesday, June 28 at 7.50pm.The 27-year-old was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital before being transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he later died.No other vehicles were involved in the crash.Ayrshire Road Policing Sergeant Craig Beaver said: "My thoughts go out to Joshua’s family and friends at this very difficult time."It’s vital we piece together exactly what happened in the lead up to this crash and I would appeal for anyone with information to contact us."Likewise, anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage should also get in touch.”Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3620 of July 1, 2022.Don't miss the latest Ayrshire headlines –sign up to our free daily newsletter here
