A man who was stabbed in the chest in an attack on a busy road in Longsight is now 'stable' in hospital, police have confirmed in an update.
The victim - aged in his 20s - was rushed to hospital after the attack on Slade Lane at around 6.15pm yesterday (Friday, May 17).
Greater Manchester Police said last night that he was in a critical condition. The man is now 'stable' in hospital, the force said in an update issued this afternoon.
