A boy who was arrested on suspicion of arson after a huge fire ripped through a unit in Bolton has been released on bail, police have confirmed.
The blaze broke out in a building at the Loco Works off Chorley New Road in Horwich on the evening on June 17. Firefighters and police officers responded as huge clouds of smoke billowed from the fire.
An investigation into the cause of fire was launched and a 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary and arson. In an update issued this morning (July 4), a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said he had since been released on bail.
Police previously said teenager was apprehended on Sunday (July 2) after officers attended reports of a property alarm going off at a unit.
