Police have issued an update after armed officers descended on a street where a man was seen 'armed with a crossbow'. Officers raced out to Sutherland Road, in Heywood, at around 5pm yesterday (September 11).
Witnesses reported seeing officers 'pointing guns at a house' before bursting through the door - while children were playing outside.
A man in his 30s was seen handcuffed and being led into a Greater Manchester Police van. In an update issued this afternoon (September 12), Greater Manchester Police confirmed he was later released with no further action being taken.
