Dyanne Mansfield, 71, was found dead at her home on Canterbury Road on Wednesday morning last week. A man, 71, was arrested on suspicion of her murder but was taken to hospital with serious neck and arm injuries.
Today (Wednesday), a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "A 71-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed pending further enquiries." Officers were called to the house just before 9.15am last Wednesday to a report of a woman with fatal injuries.
