Police have launched a murder probe following the death of teenage boy last night.Emergency services raced to an address on Eastfield Avenue in Bath after the alarm was raised at around 11pm on Saturday.
Officers were allegedly responding to reports that a 16-year-old boy had been 'stabbed'.Members of the public provided the boy with first aid before paramedics arrived as they battled to save him - but the teenager sadly died at the scene.
As reported by Somerset Live, a 35-year-old woman was also allegedly stabbed during the incident. She was rushed to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.Eight people – six boys and two girls aged between 15 and 17 – were subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder on a bus on Lansdown Lane at 11.30pm.
They all currently remain in police custody. A large cordon was placed at the scene while police carry out enquires and officers have appealed for information.
