A teenager has been rushed to hospital after being 'stabbed' outside a chip shop in Glasgow.Emergency services raced to Shettleston Road, near the Happy Chippy, after the alarm was raised at around 8.45pm on Wednesday, June 7.

Ambulance crews attended and a 17-year-old boy was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment following the serious assault.It's understood the teenager was stabbed during the incident.

His condition is currently unknown.Police taped off an area outside the Happy Chippy and the neighbouring Post Office following the incident.A picture taken from the scene showed officers and ambulance crews in attendance while shocked locals watched on.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.45pm on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, police were called to a serious assault in the Shettleston Road area of Glasgow.
