Calls have been made for the current Miss Scotland to be stripped of her title after she was thrown out of an event.Video footage emerged allegedly showing Lucy Sophia Thomson, 24, being escorted from the Edinburgh City 7s rugby event on Saturday.Allegations were also made about a worker being assaulted and racially abused at the event.Miss Scotland organisers have now attracted heavy criticism after announcing that entries for the 2023 competition were open on Sunday - but have yet to issue a statement about Thomson.Posting on the organisation’s Facebook page, Lauren Gracie wrote: “Miss Scotland you’re going to need to make a decision on the future of the current title holder and release a statement asap.“The longer you sit on it, the more you’re looking like you’re condoning this kind of behaviour.
Even a statement to say you’re investigating and will update further soon or you’re going to end up losing the licence as Miss World won’t be happy about this.”She added: “If there is any grain of truth whatsoever to the allegations you cannot be seen to have supported such behaviour.“If this is true, you will have the backing of the entire pageant community and wider in immediately removing Lucy's crown and sending your first runner up to internationals.“For your own sake, do not leave any room for misinterpretation that you support this behaviour.”Mhairi Whitelaw added: “Remove her crown and title or Miss Scotland isn’t going to mean s*** anymore.”Freya Jane Taylor commented: “What a shame that Miss Scotland feels that their priority is to delete comments from their recent posts and making their Instagram private instead of addressing the allegations against their current titleholder.“I hope Miss World thoroughly
