People are being urged to look out for 'cheap Raybans' after a Trafford opticians was burgled overnight. Julie Hatchell Opticians, in Sale, suffered 'considerable damage' in the incident early on Monday morning (February 3).
The business says a 'large quantity' of Rayban sunglasses has been stolen from the premises, on Framingham Road. It is warning people to watch out for Raybans being sold cheaply in the surrounding area, as they could have been stolen from the shop.
Greater Manchester Police is aware of the incident. A spokesperson for Julie Hatchell Opticians wrote on the store's Facebook page: "We are very upset to report that Julie Hatchell Opticians was broken into in the early hours of Monday morning. "There has been considerable damage and unfortunately a large quantity of Rayban sunglasses have been stolen.
Please look out for anyone selling Raybans cheaply, without cases, as they may be stolen goods." GMP confirmed it had received a report of a burglary at the premises earlier today.
