It’s one of the most eagerly anticipated gaming consoles of 2020, and now Sony has given us an official teardown of the PlayStation 5.
In the video, Yasuhiro Ootori, VP of mechanical design at Sony Interactive Entertainment, shows off the inner workings of the PS5.
He said: “This is the PlayStation 5. At 104mm wide, 390mm high, and 260mm deep, the size is larger than that of the PS4, but results in a dramatic improvement in performance in terms of processing power and quietness.” Firstly, Mr Ootori shows off how to switch the console from vertical to horizontal.
This involves unscrewing the base, storing the screw in the base itself, then using a cap to plug the screw hole. Users must then rotate the stand, and clip it on to the PS5
