Piers Morgan has confirmed he will no longer host his one-hour long evening news show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, for TalkTV after two years at the helm. The former GMB presenter, who launched the show in 2022, confirmed the news on Twitter.
He told his 8.7 million followers: "Some news," as he shared a post which said: "News: Piers Morgan is ending his live broadcast show on UK's TalkTV, and going full YouTube.
He talked to .me about it." Speaking to Semafor, he explained: "I’ve just decided that I no longer want to create my show for linear television — I just want to go full digital globally. "There’s something quite anachronistic about a show like mine still trying to create old fashioned TV for a pre-scheduled time slot each night for a relatively small audience — when we’re getting such gigantic audiences digitally." Piers launched Uncensored in 2022, just under a year after he sensationally quit Good Morning Britain when he refused to apologise for comments made about Meghan Markle.
The controversial host claimed it was time for him to make the move from TalkTV to YouTube as he promised heated debates, sprawling interviews and "spicy monologues".
