Piers Morgan has admitted that Kate Garraway is "living in hope" for her husband Derek Draper. Derek, 52, was rushed to hospital on March 30 with coronavirus and placed in intensive care.
Doctors induced him into a coma in the following days, and while Derek is now clear of the virus itself, COVID has "wreaked extraordinary damage on his body" over the last 13 weeks.
Unconscious Derek has a hole in his heart, needs kidney dialysis, and is diabetic following pancreatic complications.
