Piers Morgan has been forced to deny claims that he broke lockdown rules. The ITV presenter has told his Twitter fans that there is no truth in the rumour that he left his London home to visit his parents, Gabrielle and Glynne, at their home in Sussex.

Piers, 55, has been a vocal critic of those who flout the restrictions - specifically those in positions of authority, such as Dominic Cummings.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s aide admitted that he travelled 260 miles from London to Durham with his wife, who was displaying covid-19 symptoms, and their son.

Cummings then drove from Durham to Barnard Castle to ‘test his eyesight’ before returning to work in London as the rest of the country was told to ‘stay at home’.
