A supercar driver smashed into a grassy embankment head-on in a £110,000 Audi sports car. The motorist appears to have spun off a 30mph road in the grey Audi R8 before ploughing into the grass verge and coming to a halt.
Pictures show the wreckage of the top of the range supercar which pumps out 600 horsepower and costs £130,000 new. The driver appears to have escaped unscathed following the crash in Hulme, Manchester.
Airbags on both the passenger and driver side were activated during the crash, the Manchester Evening News reports. Most of the body remained intact, with some damage to the front bumper and wheels.
