Phillip Schofield was left heartbroken when his former friend Fern Britton "decided she didn't want to do This Morning any more".The 61 year old TV star, who used to present the ITV show with Fern, has admitted that he "still misses her deeply" and has tried to mend their friendship over the years.

However, he understands that Fern, who is currently in the Celebrity Big Brother house, has "moved on". Fern co-hosted This Morning with Phillip from 1999 to 2009.Their working relationship ended on a sour note when Fern decided to leave the show.

Since joining Celebrity Big Brother, Fern has spoken about her departure from This Morning and her strained relationship with Phillip.

But it seems she has even more to say before her time on the reality show ends. A source close to Fern told Best magazine: "She wants to show the public a different side to her - unscripted and unapologetic.
