Phillip Schofield was presented with a birthday cake and Champagne as he celebrated his 60th birthday a day early with the This Morning team on Thursday.The presenter appeared delighted to be receiving his birthday cake from long-time co-host and friend, Holly Willoughby, along with the rest of the crew as he sat in his dressing room.

Phillip will be enjoying a day off from This Morning on his actual birthday this Friday and so the team took it upon themselves to mark the milestone occasion with a party in the studio.

A trail of more gold and silver balloons could be seen in the host’s dressing room as he was filmed by Holly being presented with a chocolate and sprinkle covered birthday cake while the This Morning team sung ‘Happy Birthday’.
