Phillip Schofield breaks cover for first time in a month for mum's birthday

Former This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield was spotted earlier today for the first time in a month, as he broke cover to visit his mother for her birthday.The 61-year-old ex-ITV star was axed from the channel last month after admitting to having had an affair with a younger co-worker on the set of the much-loved daytime show.

But father-of-two Phillip was today photographed in Cornwall, appearing grim-faced and down-trodden. Clutching his keys, mobile phone and vape in his fans as he was pictured in a car park along the south coast, the former Dancing On Ice frontman wore a simple blue tee in the warm weather, which he paired with some white linen shorts.

Joining his mum Pat to celebrate her 87th birthday, Phillip appeared to have caught a tan in the weeks since stepping down from the award-winning lunch-time show, which he used to present with estranged friend Holly Willoughby.

In the days following his admission - after he'd presented his final episode of This Morning - Phillip was spotted sitting on a bench in Cornwall with his arm wrapped around his beloved mother, as he held her hand.
