This Morning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby have been nominated for best TV presenter at this year's National Television Awards after a turbulent week which saw the end of their decade-long presenting partnership.

The show itself is also up for the daytime prize, and This Morning's Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary and Rylan Clark are also among the 50 names longlisted for the presenter award.

The popular duo were snubbed at last year's awards after failing to make the shortlist, with the gong eventually going to presenting powerhouse duo Ant and Dec.There was some consolation, however, as they collected the Daytime show award instead.

The longlist will be a welcome bit of good news to the This Morning team after Phillip's shock exit at the weekend which followed weeks of rumours of a rift between him and Holly, who has been his co-host since she joined in 2009, replacing Fern Britton.
