Phil Foden hopes to see Manchester City duo Rico Lewis and Cole Palmer follow his example in graduating from the academy to nail down a first-team place.
Foden has been the major success story of the club's Elite Development Squad in recent years, working through the age groups from under-9 level before making his senior debut against Feyenoord in 2017.
In the six years that have followed, the Stockport-born star has become an icon at his boyhood club, winning several major honours including five Premier League titles and the Champions League.
Last season saw two more young Blues break into the first-team picture, with Lewis and Palmer racking up 48 appearances across all competitions between them.
