Apple - Android It came after news of outstanding debts led the bank to decide to sell both Low Waters Miners Welfare, which closed back in 2019, and the adjoining bowling green to the highest bidder.If sold to a developer, it could spell the end of the institution which has been part of the Hamilton community since 1928.Members of the club, however, are calling on whoever buys the site to maintain the green as a community asset.Councillor Wilson, who started the petition, told Lanarkshire Live: "The campaign to Save our Green is picking up pace and the petition proves that there is a broad base of support to protect it from redevelopment."The bank must listen to the community and remove the green from the proposed sale.
