Peter Lawwell has announced he will retire at the end of the season. The 61-year-old will step down after 17 years in the role and will be replaced Scottish Rugby's Dominic McKay.Lawwell revealed he first considered leaving his post last year having overseen a dominant era of domestic success that yielded 29 trophies.Celtic have won 13 league titles under his stewardship, including a run of Nine In A Row clinched in 2019/20, plus an unprecedented quadruple Treble.But a dream 10 In A Row season turned nightmare intensified pressure on the club to make boardroom changes amid furious fan protests outside Celtic Park following high profile defeats.In an emotional statement, Lawell insists it's been an "enormous privilege" to serve his boyhood.
