Peter Andre (born 27 February 1973) is an English-born Cypriot-Australian singer, songwriter, businessman, and television personality. He gained popularity as a singer, best known for his singles "Mysterious Girl" and "Flava".
He is also known for appearing on the third series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, and the thirteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, in which he was partnered with Janette Manrara.
PETER Andre has revealed the moment he was confronted by a knifeman. The singing superstar, 48, recalled the horror as he admitted: "I was terrified".
Peter, now a father-of-four, spoke about his life growing up with his Greek family in Australia. He told The Guardian: "Throughout my life I’ve been accepted and rejected for my appearance. "As a kid, I felt isolated because I was Greek and a “greasy w*g”, as the kids and teachers used to call me." He recalled: "I took a lot of beatings for looking different; some were with fists and some were with stones. "The knife that was pulled on me never went all the way in, but it certainly scared me enough to know that things could be over very quickly." The Mysterious Girl hitmaker has previously touched on how he struggled with his move from the UK to Down Under, where they were the only "ethnic" family in the area.
