Plans are in place to bring a bronze bust of Perthshire plant hunter Archibald Menzies over the Atlantic to look over his old haunt, Castle Menzies near Aberfeldy.A group of people in Canada who share the Menzies name are working to reproduce the only known sculpture of Archibald.The original bronze bust stands in Vancouver’s 55-acre Van Dusen Gardens.It was made 30 years ago by noted Canadian sculptor Jack Harman, who died in 2001.His son Stephen Harman has now been tasked with making an identical copy for display in Archibald’s’ homeland.The finished piece is to be presented to Castle Menzies at a future date when virus restrictions have lifted.Archibald was born near the Perthshire castle in 1754 and as a young man tended the gardens.In
