When Mitch Hunter and Max Spittal started sharing their music in the Malt House pub in Perth, the world was very much their oyster.But the DJs who call the Fair City home would struggle to have believed that, one day, they would be wowing crowds on the other side of the planet.The former Perth High School students, who perform and run a record label under the name of Craigie Knowes, are preparing to tick off their latest milestone moment behind the decks.Next month they are jetting off on tour to Australia with dates pencilled in for Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Newcastle.And it is anticipated that Mitch and Max will also entertain crowds in Singapore during the much-anticipated trip.“This is 14 years on since our first gig in the Malt House on Princes Street and it’s probably the first time we’ve actually sat back and thought about the journey so far in any detail,” Mitch explained to the PA.“It feels surreal knowing that people on the other side of the planet like the music from the label and mixes we’ve done enough to fly us over for a tour.“As we’re a duo the costs are always double for the promoters so we never take any gig for granted and are grateful for the support we’re given.“When we were 16, if people had said we would play the clubs and festivals we have, neither of us would have believed them.”Explaining how the opportunity to head Down Under arose, Mitch continued: “The tour came about by having a fairly big Australian contingency on our record label and always being well supported by Australian dancers and DJs.“The tour has actually been in the pipeline for a long time, almost two years, with multiple promoters asking when we are coming over to play.“But given it’s such a long way – and can be complicated
