DEAN has been confirmed to release his first music after four years and six months this November.The singer’s label, Universal Music, announced the upcoming release of DEAN’s first single in more than four years through a statement to South Korean outlet TV Daily earlier today (November 14). In the company’s brief statement to press, it wrote: “DEAN will return after 4 years and 6 months.

Aphex Twin and Erykah Badu are heading up the line-up for this year’s Forwards Festival.The “festival for forward thinkers” will return to Bristol’s Clifton Downs from September 1-2 after making its debut last year.Bonobo, RAYE, Confidence Man, Olivia Dean, Biig Piig and Wesley Joseph are set to perform on the Friday, with Aphex Twin topping the bill. Meanwhile, the Saturday will see the likes of Primal Scream, Arlo Parks, Leftfield and Amyl and the Sniffers play.

DEAN has collaborated with Wesley Joseph on new song ‘Sugar Dive’, marking his first feature in almost two years.The British multihyphenate dropped the new single earlier today (February 15) alongside its accompanying music video, two days ahead of the release of his upcoming album ‘Glow’ this Friday (February 17). The single is performed entirely by both singers in English, and according to a press statement for the release, DEAN also contributed to the lyrics for the new track.Joseph “kept the second verse free” after finishing the production of ‘Sugar Dive’ with Leon Vynehall and Harvey Dweller, Joseph said in a statement. Loyle Carner has announced his third album is on its way, sharing a release date and tracklist for the forthcoming ‘Hugo’.The English-Guyanese rapper shared the news yesterday (August 19) with a teaser video, in which he spraypaints the release date — October 21, 2022 — on a ‘Hugo’ poster.The ten-track record will feature his recently released singles ‘Hate’ and ‘Georgetown’, the latter of which was produced by Madlib and samples a performance by the Guyanese poet John Agard of his acclaimed poem Half-caste. “John Agard’s poem Half-caste had a heavy impact on me,” Carner said in a press statement. “To see someone who was older, that looked like me, sharing a reflection of a similar lived experience made me feel comfortable/proud to not fit in.
