Emma Roberts has some new co-stars!

The plucky new comedy “Space Cadet,” from Stampede Ventures, has added more star power to a fleet led by the previously announced Emma Roberts. While character details are under wraps, Gabrielle Union will join Roberts in the film about a Florida party girl who turns out to be the only hope for the NASA space program, after a fluke puts her in training with other candidates. They may have better resumes, but not her smarts, heart and moxie. Liz. W. Garcia is directing form her own script, which we pray will feel like “Legally Blonde” in space. Tom Hopper (“The Umbrella Academy,” “Love in the Vila”) also comes aboard with Colombian pop star Sebastián Yatra (Spain’s “The Voice Kids”), sketch veteran David Foley (“The Kids in the Hall”) and Desi Lydic (“The Daily Show”).

Sebastián Yatra had an amazing show Sunday night in Los Angeles at the YouTube theater as part of his “Dharma” North America tour. The award-winning, multi-platinum, Colombian singer and songwriter showcased his incredible voice and danced his heart out for over an hour and a half.In addition to his voice, the singer showed off his body, dancing shirtless later in the set. The special treat had fans audibly reacting with excitement.

Thursday, where he sang the Spanglish edition of his powerhouse single, “Tacones Rojos.” It was the singer’s second time on the show this year, and his performance was fun and sounded great with a live band.It’s been an incredible year for the singer, songwriter, and genre-bending music maker.

Sebastián Yatra let everything out after his stunning performance of “Dos Oruguitas” (“Two Caterpillars”) at the 94th annual Academy Awards from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” — that “Encanto” earworm that topped the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks, becoming only the second No. 1 song ever from a Disney animated film (after “A Whole New World” from “Aladdin” in 1993) — somehow wasn’t even nominated for Best Original Song at the 2022 Academy Awards.And to make matters even stranger, another song from “Encanto” — “Dos Oruguitas,” performed by Sebastian Yatra — was nominated in the category that also includes Billie Eilish’s “No Time to Die” (from “No Time to Die”), Beyoncé’s “Be Alive” (from “King Richard”), Reba McEntire’s “Somehow You Do” (from “Four Good Days”) and Van Morrison’s “Down to Joy” (from “Belfast”).But it’s not Oscar’s fault for overlooking “Bruno.” The song — which, like “Dos Oruguitas,” was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda — was not submitted for nomination by Disney.

As I tipped in my story on the Best Original Song performers announced on Tuesday for the 94th Annual Academy Awards, another key movie song not mentioned in their release, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto will also be performed on the big show even though it wasn’t even submitted by Disney and songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda for consideration in the category where Miranda is a nominee for another tune from the same film, “Dos Oruguitas” also from Encanto.

2022 Oscars ceremony. On Tuesday, show producers Will Packer and Shayla Cowan announced that Beyoncé, Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, Reba McEntire and Sebastián Yatra will perform tracks nominated in the Best Song category during Sunday's 94th Oscars.Beyoncé will perform «Be Alive» from , Eilish and FINNEAS will perform «No Time to Die» from the James Bond film of the same name, McEntire will perform «Somehow You Do» from , and Yatra will perform «Dos Oruguitas» from . «Down to Joy» from is also nominated in the category, but Van Morrison had to turn down an offer to perform during the telecast due to his ongoing tour.The news comes after the Academy announced that there will be an all-star band featuring drummer Travis Barker, iconic percussionist and singer Sheila E. and prolific pianist Robert Glasper at the 2022 ceremony.The awards show's music director, Adam Blackstone, will lead the group in performances during the show as well as with an in-house orchestra, returning to the Oscars stage this year after last year's modified ceremony. The Samples, a vocal group led by Jason White, also will appear on the show.Also performing at this year's Oscars, as well as at the post-show Governors Ball, will be DJ D-Nice, who will bring the unifying fun of his Club Quarantine livestreams to the Academy stage.ET recently spoke with Regina Hall -- who is co-hosting this year's Oscars alongside Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes — and the actress said she couldn't be more excited for the big night! «I think it's exciting, like, it's Women's History Month, it's quite historic, all of us together,» Hall said.
