Anti-LGBTQ protesters aren’t going to bring down Pride if the cast of “Heartstopper” have anything to say about it.

Heartstopper has become one of Netflix’s most popular shows in recent years.Based on the graphic novels by Alice Oseman, the romantic comedy-drama follows teenager Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) as he navigates his sexuality and falls in love with his sporty classmate Nick Nelson (Kit Connor).Other cast members include William Gao, Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Sebastian Croft, and Olivia Colman.After the first season debuted in April 2022 to critical and commercial success, Netflix renewed the show for an additional two seasons.The show’s score is by Adiescar Chase, who also created the soundtrack for the first two seasons.

Netflix has released a series of first-look images for Season 2 of its romantic drama “Heartstopper,” which stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke and is set to premiere on Aug. 3. The second season will spotlight Nick (Connor) and Charlie (Locke) as they navigate the waters of their new relationship. Ahead of their prom, the students take a trip to Paris, and this group of friends realizes they have “a lot to juggle as they journey through the next stages of life, love and friendship.” Season 2 will star Connor and Locke alongside Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Sebastian Croft, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, Jenny Walser, Cormac Hyde-Corrin and Olivia Colman.

At the time, executive producer Patrick Walters said: “We put so much love into the making of Heartstopper so to reassemble the team for two more seasons is a dream come true.“I’m forever grateful to Alice Oseman for entrusting us with this beautiful, unique story that at its core seeks to uplift the next generation of young LGBTQ+ people.

Heartstopper came out on Netflix in April and, since then, the LGBTQ+ teen drama has stolen the hearts of thousands of people. The Alice Oseman adaptation tells the story of Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson, two completely different teenagers who end up falling in love.
