The “Heartstopper” cast had a message for anti-LGBTQ+ protesters as they were seen partying at London Pride over the weekend.

The stars of Heartstopper are taking over London Pride!

Netflix has released a series of first-look images for Season 2 of its romantic drama “Heartstopper,” which stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke and is set to premiere on Aug. 3. The second season will spotlight Nick (Connor) and Charlie (Locke) as they navigate the waters of their new relationship. Ahead of their prom, the students take a trip to Paris, and this group of friends realizes they have “a lot to juggle as they journey through the next stages of life, love and friendship.” Season 2 will star Connor and Locke alongside Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Sebastian Croft, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, Jenny Walser, Cormac Hyde-Corrin and Olivia Colman.

Sebastian Croft, one of the actors of Heartstopper, is reacting to backlash over recent news he was cast in the Hogwarts Legacy video game.

Netflix series Heartstopper attended London’s Pride march over the weekend as the event marked its 50th anniversary.During Saturday’s (July 2) events, the likes of Joe Locke, Kit Connor, Jenny Walser, Sebastian Croft, Tobie Donovan, Corinna Brown and Kizzy Edgell were seen marching.The stars also came across homophobic protestors and danced to Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ in front of them.Their appearance came a day after Connor, Locke, Yasmin Finney and William Gao all appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox for the show’s Pride special.The stars of Heartstopper absolutely loving it as anti-LGBT protesters are challenged by a young Pride supporter #Pride pic.twitter.com/7uUwaG9MXW— Scott Beasley (@SkyScottBeasley) July 2, 2022The four stars were seen watching the likes of This Is My House and Big Boys, including the emotional coming out scene from the latter.They appeared alongside the likes of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK‘s Tia Kofi, Lawrence Chaney, and Bimini Bon-Bouash, as well as Self Esteem, Feel Good star Mae Martin and comedian Lolly Adefope.Heartstopper was renewed for a second season earlier this year. At the time, executive producer Patrick Walters said: “We put so much love into the making of Heartstopper so to reassemble the team for two more seasons is a dream come true.“I’m forever grateful to Alice Oseman for entrusting us with this beautiful, unique story that at its core seeks to uplift the next generation of young LGBTQ+ people.

Heartstopper came out on Netflix in April and, since then, the LGBTQ+ teen drama has stolen the hearts of thousands of people. The Alice Oseman adaptation tells the story of Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson, two completely different teenagers who end up falling in love.

EXCLUSIVE: Netflix has rounded out the cast for Heartstopper, See-Saw Films’ eight-part adaptation of Alice Oseman’s YA graphic novel of the same name.

Micah Joe Parker, Wynn Everett, Miles Mussenden, Anita Kalathara and Gina Hiraizumi will join the cast of HBO Max’s Doom Patrol in recurring roles. Madalyn Horcher, Ty Tennant and Sebastian Croft will guest star in the third season.
