R.E.M.’s debut EP ‘Chronic Town’ have been announced by The Black Crowes‘ Rich Robinson.Set to take place on December 14 and 15 in Georgia, the two concerts will double as benefit shows with proceeds going towards Planned Parenthood. The first event will be at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, while the following night’s concert will head to the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta.On both nights, Robinson will feature in the house band, which also includes the Black Crowes bassist Sven Pipien and drummer Barrett Martin, and comedian David Cross will host.The all-star line-up also includes Darius Rucker, John Cameron Mitchell, Fred Armisen, Kevn Kinney, Lenny Kaye, Mitch Easter, Steve Wynn, David Ryan Harris, Elf Power, Pylon Reenactment Society, and more.

The Black Crowes have announced their first album of new material in 15 years, ‘Happiness Bastards’.On Friday (January 12), the southern rock band took to Instagram to announce the new full-length release. “Leaving the bullshit in the past… 15 years since our last album of new music, we present ‘Happiness Bastards’, our 10th studio album out March 15,” read the post’s caption, attached to a video of a man glueing posters of the album’s artwork onto a brick wall plastered with the band’s old album covers.A post shared by The Black Crowes (@theblackcrowes)According to Consequence, brothers Chris and Rich Robinson have commented further on the album’s significance in a press release.

Chris Robinson, brother Rich Robinson and their band The Black Crowes have been slapped with a lawsuit by the band's original drummer Steve Gorman.According to legal documents, Gorman is suing over unpaid royalties in connection to past tours as a member of the band, although he doesn't know exactly how much he may be owed.Gorman maintains he has repeatedly asked to see the band's financial records to assess what monies may be owed to him but has been rejected, as reported by TMZ. The Black Crowes have rescheduled their upcoming UK and Ireland tour for a second time due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.The ‘Shake Your Money Maker’ tour, which is currently travelling across the US, celebrates 30 years of the Georgia rock band’s – now comprised of brothers Rich and Chris Robinson, and Sven Pipien – debut album.Having previously postponed the shows to autumn this year, the band have now announced they’ve had to move the tour again.
