Theres a new trend in baby names, and it's all about revisiting the classics. Old-fashioned monikers once associated with our nans and granddads are making a major comeback this year. One woman seeking some vintage inspiration for her friend's soon-to-be born baby girl took to the Facebook group, Learning and Exploring Through Play.

Ana de Armas had zero difficulty finding streams of research to play Marilyn Monroe in Blonde. But learning what drove Norma Jean, the delicate and insecure woman behind the public persona, was an entirely different challenge.

Blonde, the new Netflix film based on the 2000 novel Blonde by Joyce Carol Oates has topped the charts upon its release, with critics and viewers alike praising its powerful portrayal of the actress's troubled life.  Netflix's Blonde launched on Friday, September 23 and has remained at the top of the Netflix film charts. The film stars Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe and reveals to viewers more about the tragic life of Marilyn Monroe.

Ana de Armas chose to pay tribute to not one but two a classic Marilyn Monroe style moments. The Cuban actress hit the Venice Film Festival red carpet for the premiere of  'Blonde' where she plays the legendary 1950’s film star in the upcoming Netflix biopic.  Apparently Ana broke down in tears at the end of the screening, after receiving a 14-minute standing ovation for her dazzling portrayal of Marilyn.

Marilyn Monroe would have celebrated her 96th birthday this year. This August 5th marks the 60th anniversary of her death and Monroe remains as important as ever, a Hollywood icon that’s just as mysterious and alluring as she was when she first appeared onscreen.
