With the unofficial beginning of summer — Memorial Day — come and gone, the season has entered full swing. Several of the summer weekends will be crowded at the box office with sometimes three releases competing on similar dates. With action films like Bad Boys: Ride Or Die, A Quiet Place: Day One and Twisters taking us through July, some animated adventures like Inside Out 2 and Despicable Me 4 will provide fun for whole families.

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return for the fourth Bad Boys film, Bad Boys: Ride Or Die.Directed by duo Adil & Bilall, who helmed the previous instalment Bad Boys For Life, this latest entry sees detectives Mike and Marcus become fugitives as they try to solve a case of corruption within the Miami PD.Vanessa Hudgens, Joe Pantoliano, Alexander Ludwig and DJ Khaled all reprise their roles from the previous film, while new cast additions include Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Rhea Seehorn, Melanie Liburd and Tiffany Haddish.The film’s score is by Scottish composer Lorne Balfe, who previously worked with directors Adil & Bilall on Bad Boys For Life.His other credits include Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Widow, The Lego Batman Movie, along with video games like Assassin’s Creed 3 and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.Bad Boys: Ride Or Die also features original track ‘TONIGHT’ by the Black Eyed Peas & El Alfa, along with other songs by various artists.You can check out the tracklist for the soundtrack album below.‘TONIGHT’ – Black Eyed Peas & El Alfa feat. Will Smith is having a busy week on the set of Bad Boys 4.

Christopher Vourlias “Perpetrator,” director Jennifer Reeder’s provocative new horror noir that she describes as a “celebration of the girl gone wild,” world premieres Feb. 17 in the Panorama section at the Berlin Film Festival. Written and directed by Reeder, “Perpetrator” follows an impulsive teenage girl who must unlock a mysterious power to survive when the young women in her town continue to go missing. The film stars Kiah McKirnan (“Mare of Easttown”), Christopher Lowell (“My Best Friend’s Exorcism”), Melanie Liburd (“The Idol”), Ireon Roach (“Candyman”), and Alicia Silverstone (“Clueless”). It is produced by Gregory Chambet for WTFilms and Derek Bishé for Divide/Conquer.

HBO has released the second teaser for music industry drama series The Idol, starring Lily-Rose Depp and Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye. (Watch it above.)

The Idol starring Lily Rose-Depp (daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis) and The Weeknd. The teaser says that the show comes “from the sick and twisted minds" of Sam Levinson, Euphoria's creator, and The Weeknd, and promises to tell “the sleaziest story in all of Hollywood.” The series follows a female pop singer (Depp) who starts a romance with an L.A.

Kim Murphy HBO and the Weeknd have released a teaser for “The Idol,” the network’s upcoming dramatic series starring the singer and Lily-Rose Depp.The footage begins announcing the “sick and twisted minds” of series co-creators Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye and Sam Levinson, who is also behind the network’s hit series “Euphoria.” The teaser then launches into a hyperactive montage of Hollywood mansions, colorful parties, cocaine ingestion and fast cars.“More, more, more, orgy!” yells a voice in the trailer.The trailer concludes with a tense interaction between Depp’s character and an unseen figure, supposedly Tesfaye’s character, that asks, “Do you trust me?”“Not really,” Depp’s character says with a smile.

HBO series from The Weeknd and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson is undergoing an overhaul, according to reports.In a statement released on Monday (April 25), HBO said the series, titled The Idol, is “adjusting” its cast and crew to serve a new direction.“The Idol’s creative team continues to build, refine, and evolve their vision for the show and they have aligned on a new creative direction,” a statement reads.“The production will be adjusting its cast and crew accordingly to best serve this new approach to the series. We look forward to sharing more information soon.”According to Variety, director Amy Seimetz (The Killing) has departed the project.

Selome Hailu The Weeknd’s HBO drama series “The Idol” is being reworked with changes to its cast and crew, Variety has learned. According to sources, production was already completed on multiple episodes of the six-episode series, which will now be redone due to a change in creative directions.“‘The Idol’s’ creative team continues to build, refine, and evolve their vision for the show and they have aligned on a new creative direction,” HBO said in a statement to Variety.

EXCLUSIVE: Freestyle Digital Media has acquired North American rights to Double Play, the latest feature from award-winning filmmaker Ernest Dickerson (DMZ, Juice). The digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group/Entertainment Studios will release the film, based on Curaçaoan author Frank Martinus Arion’s internationally acclaimed Dutch-language novel Dubbelspel, on digital and VOD platforms on February 22.
