Kings Of Leon have opened up about the first time they heard their track ‘Sex On Fire’ on the radio.While appearing in a new interview with USA Today‘s Ralphie Aversa in support of their latest track ‘Mustang’ and their forthcoming album ‘Can We Please Have Fun’, Kings Of Leon – comprised of Caleb, Jared, Nathan and Matthew Followill – opened up about their 2008 hit ‘Sex On Fire’.“I remember I was at a Mexican restaurant with my wife, we were having like a tortilla soup and margaritas, and I think Andy our manager called me and said ‘Hey, there’s an interview we need you to do like right now’,” recalled Caleb.He continued: “I picked up the phone and it was Zane Lowe and he was debuting ‘Sex On Fire’. When he introduced the song, even like hearing it over the phone, I was like ‘Oh man, this does feel different’.

Kings Of Leon will be playing two huge outdoor shows in Wrexham over the late May Bank Holiday weekend.The shows will take place at the Racecourse Ground, the world’s oldest international stadium still in use and the home of Wrexham AFC, the football club that is now owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.The dates follow Kings of Leon‘s UK arena tour last year, which included two shows at London’s O2 Arena and marked the band’s first UK performances since headlining Reading and Leeds in 2018.Tickets will go on general sale on Friday (March 3) at 9am, but Wrexham AFC season ticket holders and members will have access to a pre-sale. Kings Of Leon will return to Australia in late 2022, following the indefinite postponement of their planned tour earlier this year.The tour – in support of the band’s 2021 album ‘When You See Yourself’ – will now take place between late October and early November. Kings Of Leon‘s Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill have cancelled all of the band’s remaining tour dates following the death of their mother, Betty Ann Murphy.Brothers Nathan and Jared confirmed Murphy’s passing last weekend (September 25), days after the band announced they would be cancelling a series of shows to spend time with their mother following a “medical crisis”.Now, the band – which also includes cousin Matthew Followill – have announced that they will be cancelling all remaining tour dates in support of their latest album, ‘When You See Yourself’, in order to be with their family during this time.“We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from our fans,” the band wrote on Instagram.

Caleb Followill is so amped to play live music again when his band’s “When You See Yourself” summer tour starts in August that he’s already doing his “Rambo workouts” to get in road-ready shape.“I don’t know what I’m looking forward to the most. It seems like it’s been a long time coming,” Followill, 39, told The Post about the tour, which will hit Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater on Aug.
