Dave Chappelle was set to perform a stand-up comedy routine Wednesday night at First Avenue in Minneapolis, but the show was canceled at the last minute following backlash. Chappelle has been at the center of controversy over his Netflix program, "The Closer."  "The Dave Chappelle show tonight at First Avenue has been cancelled and is moving to the Varsity Theater," the announcement said.  "To staff, artists and our community, we hear you, and we are sorry.

Comedians are weighing in on the attack against Dave Chappelle at the Hollywood Bowl Tuesday night.  Chappelle was performing as part of the "Netflix Is a Joke" festival when he was attacked on stage. Thania Garcia The Prince Estate has and Sony Music have announced a deluxe release of “Prince and The Revolution: Live,” the legendary 1985 concert toward the end of the 100-date “Purple Rain” concert tour which was originally broadcast via satellite from the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York on March 30, 1985. The film was first released on VHS in the late ’80s and was out of print for decades before being re-released as part of the “Purple Rain” deluxe boxed set in 2017.Now, the completely remastered and digitally enhanced footage will be made available on vinyl for the first time along with CD and Blu-ray formats starting June 3, 2022.According to the announcement, the deluxe edition of “Prince and The Revolution: Live” has been “entirely enhanced and reconstructed,” with the original video source rescanned, restored and color-corrected with the original multitrack audio master reels remixed and remastered onto Blu-ray video with selectable stereo, 5.1 surround and Dolby Atmos sound.

An Ohio developer says he is moving forward with construction on a controversial housing project in Dave Chappelle’s hometown of Yellow Springs following a heated village council meeting that saw the comic icon threaten to withdraw millions in planned investments in the community.
