Royle Family baby David star is all grown up 22 years later and is still an actor
BBC sitcom The Royle Family was David and Denise's first child and starred in season three of the series - but two decades on the actor who played him James Matthew-Hughes is all grown up.James' character was born on Christmas Day back in 1999 and his christening day and first birthday were featured in the series which told the story of a working class family living in Manchester.These days he stars in numerous stage shows after training to be a musical theatre actor.According to his CV, James is able to do a variety of accents and is also skilled in dance jazz, tap, ballet and period dance as well as being a classically trained singer.After growing up, James got a degree in theatre arts and has starred in musicals such as Crazy for You and Me And My Girl at the London Palladium.James played David for a year before Harry Cash took it on 2006 for the reunion episode of the show The Queen of Sheba, where he was seen as a young child with his father looking like the spitting image of his dad, with the pair matching T-shirts.After the tragic death of its creator and Denise star Caroline Aherne back in 2016, many cast member have said they would not like to see the series brought back to TV screens without her.Ricky Tomlinson, who played Denise's dad Jim in the sitcom said on Loose Women in 2020: "Not for me, if it’s not broke don’t try and fix it."She was wonderful.

Escape to the Chateau stars Dick Strawbridge and Angel Strawbridge have opened up about the “daunting” task of putting on a show.The couple, who are known for their DIY skills at the French chateau, shared this in their latest update with fans of the Channel 4 series.Dick and Angel have just returned home from their six-week tour across the UK, which is the longest they’ve ever been away from the chateau.They were joined by their children Arthur and Dorothy for their show all about how they’ve been renovating their French chateau.Called Dare To Do It, this saw them visiting theatres in Belfast, London, Edinburgh and many more.It came to an end last week with a final show at the London Palladium.Now the family is back home, they’ve been updating their fans on what’s been going on.In their latest newsletter update, they shared a “humongous overdue hello and update”.Dick and Angel called the tour “an honour, a privilege and a pleasure” as they shared how lovely it was to meet fans.As well as this, they shared some photos of the time spent with their family across the country.However, the couple also candidly opened up about their opening night was a daunting moment for them.They penned: “In 2019 our tour manager told us that every night must be as good as the first and we have taken this very seriously.“However, there is something different about opening night because there is an underlying feeling of ‘anything can happen’...“Even after two days of rehearsals and testing everything technical is working, there is a small anticipation of the unknown.“It’s daunting and exciting in equal measure!”They went on to explain how they kept grounded, admitting their children were a big help.The couple continued: “At the start of every

Bruce Forsyth had a hugely lucrative career, boasting the longest one ever for a male entertainer in the history of showbiz, his children seem to have been left out when it comes to reaping the rewards of his formidable fortune.The Strictly Come Dancing and The Price Is Right star surprised the public after claims were made that none of his children would inherit so much as a single penny - although there could be a cunning reason.Bruce, who enjoyed an incredible 75-year stage career following his first ever TV appearance aged just 11, died in 2017.He had fought a short battle with bronchial pneumonia, aged 89, and in honour of his entertainment career, had his ashes scattered beneath the stage at the London Palladium.However the public was shocked when it emerged that it was his third wife - former Miss World 1975 winner Wilnelia Merced - who would inherit the entirety of his fortune.No-one else, not even his six children, were honoured in the £11.5 million will.However, on closer examination, Bruce had revealed in an early interview that he had every intention of his children benefitting from his will.Discussing the banes of inheritance tax back in 2015, just two years before his death, Bruce told the Radio Times: "I think your inheritance should go to your children more than back to the country that you've lived in."I'm not saying you don't owe the country something, of course you owe your country a lot for living there all those years."But I think it can be a bit over the top."The current laws state that 40% of a deceased person's funds are claimed by the government as inheritance tax.However those who have left all of their funds above a £325,000 threshold to a spouse or civil partner, for instance, instead of
