One of the stars on the breakout Israeli thriller Fauda has been seriously injured while fighting in Gaza as a member of the Israel Defense Forces, according to multiple Israeli media reports.

Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent “Fauda,” the hit action thriller series following Israeli undercover operatives, is returning for season 5 with a start of filming set for late April. Currently in pre-production, “Fauda” season 5 will unfold in Israel, as well as overseas where the Fauda team takes on a private mission. The new season of “Fauda,” created by actor Lior Raz and journalist Avi Issacharoff, brings together topnotch talent who have worked on some of the most ambitious Israeli shows in recent history, including writer Omri Shenhar (“Tehran”), and director Omri Givon (“Hostages”), who previously directed season 4 which aired in 2022.

We wanted to go behind the scenes of social democracy as well, see how it has dissolved and turned into what we have today. It felt like the right time to look at the mechanisms of power,” he told Variety earlier this week.

Leo Barraclough International Features Editor The sixth edition of Canneseries, the international festival for premium series, kicked off Friday with the world premiere of the first episode of Apple TV+’s sci-fi show “Silo.” Lead actor and executive producer Rebecca Ferguson, director and executive producer Morten Tyldum, and screenwriter and executive producer Graham Yost walked the pink carpet at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, and spoke about the show on stage, before attending a party at an exclusive beach-side venue. It was standing room only in the 2,300-seat Louis Lumiere auditorium, where the dress code was described as “creative chic,” as the evening got underway with opening remarks by the mayor of Cannes, David Lisnard, Canneseries president, Fleur Pellerin, and “Fauda” actor and co-creator Lior Raz, who is the president of the main jury. The ceremony, hosted with aplomb by French comedy actor and writer Camille Chamoux, aired on pay TV service Canal+.
