Lil Durk is releasing a new album from prison.On Monday (March 17), the rapper’s team shared a trailer and artwork for the album, called ‘Deep Thoughts’, on his social media accounts. It’s scheduled for release on March 28.Accompanied by the caption “The streets still need me,” the trailer shows Durk’s producers in the studio working on music while talking to the rapper – who is currently incarcerated – on the phone.He can be heard saying he likes “the energy” of particular songs and thanks his team for “bigger and better changes” to the record.

In October Lil Durk was arrested near Miami International Airport on a federal charge of murder-for-hire. The Chicago-born Grammy winner and drill rap pioneer is alleged to have conspired to kill a rival rapper as retaliation for the 2020 killing of King Von, a member of Durk’s Only the Family (O.T.F.) collective.

They label OTF as a “hybrid organisation” that functions as a criminal gang as well as a musical collective, with the group operating “at the direction” of Durk.Neither Lil Durk’s representatives nor those of the five others arrested have responded to requests for comment.King Von was also an associate of the group, and he and Lil Durk collaborated frequently, with the latter featuring on two tracks on Von’s 2020 debut album ‘Welcome To O’Block’.

obtained by TMZ.Prosecutors allege that all five men named in the indictment have ties to the rap group “Only the Family” (OTF), formed by Lil Durk in 2010.While the Chicago native, 32, isn’t named as a defendant, he has vehemently denied claims that OTF is a gang.Officials claim the men organized the August 2022 shooting in Los Angeles, Calif., as direct retaliation for the 2020 death of emerging rapper King Von.Von was fatally shot by Quando’s associate Lul Timm following a heated argument.According to the indictment, officials allege that the men used an OTF-associated credit card to purchase plane tickets to Los Angeles in August 2022. It is alleged that the trip’s purpose was to search for Quando Rondo.Once there, Grant allegedly booked a hotel room for the men to stay at, where he provided them with firearms, prosecutors said.Grant also allegedly rented two cars the men used to follow Rondo and his 24-year-old cousin, Saviay’a Robinson.Once the pair had stopped for gas, Houston allegedly drove into a nearby alley before Jones, Lindsey, and a third unidentified man carried out the shooting.Rondo was not injured in the shooting, however, Robinson was fatally wounded.

Wireless Festival has moved to London’s Finsbury Park – and will now take place there every summer until 2027.Despite the opposition of having the festival occur at the famous park, Haringey Council signed a five-year deal with Festival Republic, the promoter of Wireless, claiming that the event will raise “significant income’ for North London as well as boost the local economy.Wireless was previously arranged on a year-by-year basis with past venues including Hyde Park, Harewood House and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The festival, which draws up to 50,000 people a day, has been held annually in Finsbury Park since 2014 except for 2020-2021 due to COVID restrictions.The deal also gives Festival Republic permission to hold a second weekend of major events in the park.
