BBC presenter Kimberley Walsh opened up her family life in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.The Girls Aloud star admitted that she wouldn’t be “pushing” her children into the music industry, as she reflected on how that world can actually be “quite tough”.Morning Live star Kimberley, 40, shares three young sons with her husband Justin Scott, 38. The couple welcomed baby Nate last year, while his older brothers are Bobby, seven, and Cole, five.While Kimberley rose to fame in pop group Girls Aloud, Justin was part of the boyband Triple 8. Forming in 2003, Triple 8 included David Wilcox, Iain James Farquharson, Jamie Bell, Josh Barnett and Justin.The band hit the UK Top 10 twice, with their first two singles Knockout and Give Me a Reason in the same year they were formed.With plenty of experience of the music industry and of handling fame, Kimberley and Justin are being careful about the way they bring up their children. Asked if she thinks her kids might be headed down a musical path, Kimberley confirmed that it could be in their futures.“They've definitely got some natural talent starting to come through like dancing and singing,” the proud mum of three reflected. “I mean, my side of the family in particular is musical for generations going back so I kind of hoped that they would inherit those genes a little bit.”However, Kimberley went on to explain that she was hesitant about “pushing” her kids into the limelight. “I'm not sure if I'll be pushing them down that route because it is tough and it can be a tough area to go into,” she said. “But it is really nice to see how much my son enjoys expressing himself and dancing and singing and making up his own music and stuff.

Girls Aloud have taken part in a charity five kilometre run, in honour of their late bandmate Sarah Harding.Participating in the Race For Life For Sarah event on Sunday (July 24), Cheryl, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts of Girls Aloud ran the 5 kilometres across London’s Hyde Park, while bandmate Kimberley Walsh joined virtually.The event was held to raise money for cancer research and celebrate the life of Harding, who died in September of last year after revealing in 2020 that she had been diagnosed with advanced breast cancer.Speaking at the Cancer Research UK-organised event, which was watched on by over 1,000 attendees, Cheryl commended the fan turnout before commenting on the lingering grief in the wake of Harding’s death at 39 years-old. “[It] doesn’t feel like she’s gone at all,” the singer said, “I’ve never experienced or anticipated this grief…I still can’t quite believe it’s real.”Sharing a similar sentiment, Coyle told press at the event that she “was completely in denial right up until the day [Harding] passed.”Taking to Instagram yesterday (July 25), Coyle further paid tribute to her former bandmate, telling followers that “Sarah would have loved this day & loved seeing you all coming together for such a great cause.”A post shared by Nadine Coyle (@nadinecoyle)Harding first revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in August 2020, revealing in an Instagram post that the disease had also spread to other parts of her body.

Girls Aloud stars Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts have said their grief is still "raw" almost a year after the death of their bandmate Sarah Harding.Sarah passed away in September 2021 at the age of 39 after battling breast cancer.Her bandmates Kimberley, Nicola, Cheryl and Nadine Coyle are getting together this weekend to take part in Race For Life in her memory and predict it will be "magical".READ MORE: The Masked Singer's Nicola Roberts says therapy was 'best gift' after stalker ordealOpening up on Zoe Ball's BBC Radio show, Nicola said Sarah's death was "still such a shock"."You kind of go back to when it was the five of us and never in your wildest nightmares could you ever have imagined that it would have gone this way," she said."My sadness is for her. My sadness is the fact that she doesn't get to be here, that's where my sadness is."Kimberley said the grief was a "daily challenge"."It's crazy to me think that it's almost been a year," she said.She added that the loss hit her at times she didn't necessarily expect it, like when she hears a certain song or sees a certain plate of food."It feels like it's still so raw to us," she said.The band will come together at the weekend for Race For Life, after deciding it felt like the right thing to do in honour of their late bandmate.They will all be running in London except for Kimberley, who will be taking part elsewhere as she is away.She said: "We spoke to Sarah a lot in those last few months, as much as we couldn't bear to have these conversations, we had to because we felt so helpless and we were like, 'What do you want, what can we do?' and this was her wish.
