Girls Aloud have announced the release of a special, 7-inch 20th anniversary vinyl edition of their iconic 2002 Christmas Number 1 single Sound Of The Underground, in honour of the late Sarah Harding.
Following last weekend's Sarah's Primrose Ball fundraising event in their bandmate's name Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Cheryl Tweedy and Kimberley Walsh will make the debut single available on vinyl for the first time next week, with 100% of profits being donated to The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal, part of The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal.
Celebrating 20 years since the group topped the charts following their Popstars: The Rivals win, the release includes a never-before-heard alternative vocal version of the single from the archives and is strictly limited to a 5000-copy run.
Oh, and the vinyl comes complete with a sheet of 'Buy Girls, Bye Boys' slogan stickers; the group's slogan when going against fellow Popstars winners One True Voice for that coveted Christmas Number 1.
