Apple and Warner Bros. has officially announced the name of Brad Pitt‘s upcoming Formula 1 movie!

The movie follows Pitt as former Formula 1 driver Sonny Hayes, who returns to the sport and partners with and mentors rookie teammate Joshua Pearce (Idris) on the fictional APXGP team.

Brad Pitt is still putting in work on his forthcoming Formula 1 movie, and he’s filming again at the F1 Grand Prix of Great Britain on Thursday (July 4) in Northampton, England.

Angelique Jackson “Bridgerton” star Simone Ashley has joined the cast of “F1,” the Formula 1 racing movie starring Brad Pitt. The movie follows Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver who returns to the sport and partners with and mentors rookie Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) on APXGP, a fictional 11th team on the grid. Eagle-eyed fans spotted Ashley with Idris over the weekend at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit in Northampton, England, where filming continued on the project.

An Apple Original Films title is heading to the big screen for the sixth time with the June 27, 2025 release of Joseph Kosinski‘s Formula 1 movie starring Brad Pitt. Warner Bros. has won the rights to handle both domestic and overseas. This follows Paramount releasing Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon ($157M WW), Universal with Argylle ($96.2M WW), and Sony with Napoleon ($221.3M WW), Fly Me to the Moon (July 12), and Wolfs (Sept. 20).
