Amber Heard challenges Johnny Depp to TV interview ahead of Dateline tell-all
Amber Heard has challenged Johnny Depp to do his own sit-down interview ahead of her upcoming Dateline chat. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 59, won his defamation trial against his ex-wife this month, over a 2018 op-ed she wrote in the Washington Post discussing her experience with domestic abuse. He was awarded $10million in damages by the jury, while the 36-year-old won one count of her countersuit, receiving $2m.Following the bombshell court case, Heard spoke out in a tell-all interview with Dateline – snippets of which have been dropping on NBC this week ahead of the full chat airing tonight. However, after Depp took aim at her sit-down chat with Savannah Guthrie and accused her of ‘reimagining and re-litigating matters’ between them, the Aquaman’s team has now responded.‘If Mr Depp or his team have a problem with this, we recommend that Johnny himself sit down with Savannah Gutherie for an hour and answer all her questions,’ a spokesperson for Heard told Metro.co.uk.Their statement comes after those close to Depp said: ‘It’s unfortunate that while Johnny is looking to move forward with his life, the defendant and her team are back to repeating, reimagining and re-litigating matters that have already been decided by the court and a verdict that was unequivocally decided by a jury in Johnny’s favor.’After a six-week trial and 13 hours of deliberation, the seven-person jury – made up of five men and two women – found that Heard defamed Depp in the article, despite not naming him.She actress is having to pay $8m to her ex-husband but will be appealing the decision. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 videoThe Justice League star has maintained that

Amber Heard reveals ‘years’ of therapy notes, alleges it proves Johnny Depp abuse
20-minute-preview clip on Peacock reveals that Heard gave the NBC show numerous documents from a doctor that “represented years, years of real-time explanations of what was going on,” she said.“There’s a binder worth of years of notes dating back to 2011 from the very beginning of my relationship that were taken by my doctor, who I was reporting the abuse to,” Heard added in the clip. The documents, which are shown on-screen, detail one 2012 instance in which Depp allegedly “hit her, threw her against a wall and threatened to kill her,” according to “Dateline.”Eight months after that, Depp allegedly “ripped her nightgown, threw her on the bed,” according to the program, and in 2013, he reportedly “threw her against a wall and threatened to kill her.”Heard’s legal team was unable to admit the documents into evidence in the highly publicized trial due to “hearsay.” Meanwhile, in response to Heard’s interview with NBC, a spokesperson for Depp indicated to “Dateline” that the actor simply wants to “move forward” after he won his case.“It’s unfortunate that while Johnny is looking to move forward with his life, the defendant and her team are back to repeating, reimagining and re-litigating matters that have already been decided by the Court and a verdict that was unanimously and unequivocally decided by the jury in Johnny’s favor,” they said in a statement.Depp, 59, sued Heard, 36, for defamation after the publication of a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she called herself a victim of domestic abuse. On June 1, a jury found that the editorial was about the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor and awarded him $10 million in compensatory and $5 million in punitive damages.

Juror in Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation case suggests they were ‘both abusive towards each other’
supports HTML5 videoA juror in Johnny Depp’s trial has spoken out about his bombshell trial with Amber Heard, suggesting that they ‘were both abusive to each other’.The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 58, sued his ex-wife for defamation over an op-ed she wrote in 2018, discussing her experience with domestic abuse. The jury found in his favor and awarded him $10million, while the Aquaman actress, 36, won one count of her countersuit, getting $2m in damages. An anonymous male juror – one of the seven people making the decision – spoke to Good Morning America about the decision, stating that the majority felt Heard was more the aggressor. He also claimed that her emotional testimony was ‘not realistic’, telling the outlet: ‘The crying, the facial expressions, the staring at the jury… All of us were very uncomfortable.‘She would answer one question and she would be crying, and two seconds later she would turn ice cold…‘Some of us used the expression “crocodile tears”.’The juror in question said that he personally didn’t believe that Depp ever hit Heard, but that they were ‘mutually abusive’ towards each other.‘Ultimately, what I think is truthful is that they were abusive towards each other,’ he said.‘They had their husband-wife arguments. They were both yelling at each other.
