Jen Shah, star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, will be coming home earlier than expected after it was reported her prison sentence was reduced by a whole year.

 star Jen Shah got a year shaved off her prison sentence. The embattled reality star will now be released from prison in 2028 rather than 2029. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons' inmate database, Shah's prison time — for conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and conspiracy to commit money laundering — was shortened from 78 months to 66 months.

Jen Shah is giving her followers a look at her time in prison, where she is serving 6.5 years after being convicted of wire fraud charges.On Thursday, Jen's husband, Sharrieff Shah, took to her official Instagram account to share the first entry from her journal, which will document her time in prison at the Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas. Sharrieff — affectionately known as Coach — appeared in a video, almost a month since his wife's surrender, to share why it has taken so long for Jen's followers to hear from her. Coach noted that because all correspondence coming in and out of the federal prison system is screened, it took some time for him to receive Jen's first entry. Coach, who has been married to the reality TV star for 29 years, shared that it was difficult for Jen to capture her experience while inside.

Jen Shah, star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, has surrendered to prison after pleading guilty for a telemarketing fraud scheme that conned people out of their money.

In a new interview, Jen Shah shared her final thoughts before she officially reported to her 78 months prison sentence.

Jen Shah has reported to prison, ET can confirm. The disgraced star went to Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, to begin serving six and a half years following her fraud case conviction. A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons tells ET Shah is in its custody. The spokesperson added, «For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not release information on the conditions of confinement for any inmate or group of inmates.»Shah's case lawyer, Ronald Richards, took to Twitter also said she's «safely in custody at Bryan Federal Prison Camp.

Jen Shah got a lot off her chest just hours before having to report to federal prison, granting an interview to a former convicted felon who now runs a service helping convicts prepare for life in and after prison.In an interview with Justin Paperny, the co-founder of White Collar Service and author of ,  the former  star says she's going into prison with only two things — her Quran and an 18-page release plan, which she said «has 11 different sections that is going to help me stay on track, hold me accountable, and it's something that I'm going to build on while I'm in prison.»Shah, 49, said the release plan was created by Michael Santos, the other White Collar co-founder. Shah also revealed she'll be documenting everything while she's in prison, calling her journal — through a subscription-based website -- a «road map.»«This release plan is not only my road map but it’s what is going to hold me accountable for everything that I told the judge at sentencing,» she explained.
