Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks sold the rights to hit songs including “Mama”, “Land of Confusion” and “Invisible Touch” to the US-based Concord Music Group.

It's been announced that Phil Collins and his fellow members of the rock band Genesis have sold a portion of the group's songs - including their publishing rights and master recordings - in a deal valued at more than $300 million.

Fans who attended his final gig took to Twitter to document the "emotional" concert, with many explaining how they could clearly see that the singer and drummer appeared to be "frail".One said: "Privileged to see Genesis and Phil Collins tonight at the O2 which after 51 years in the business was the last ever concert , when you get to see how frail Phil Collins is this was an amazing show from someone who stuck two fingers up at his illness."Another penned: "There was laughter, there were tears: last night’s @genesis_band show was indeed the last show that the band will perform after 50+ years of loyal service.

Genesis formed way back in 1967, and went on to become among the top bands of the progressive rock genre.But a transformation into the 1980s would see Phil Collins take over lead vocals and the trio - also consisting with Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks - go on to become darlings of the pop charts for many years with a slew of hit songs like Turn It On, Invisible Touch and No Reply At All.After two break ups and a reunion tour, the English trio has been back out on the road under the banner: The Last Domino? tour, which pulled in to the World's Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday.
