Sole survivor of brutal Great White attack held friend's hand as she was ripped in half
Great White Shark that was out for their blood. There are few places more terrifying to be stranded than in Australia's Coral Sea which is home to several man-eating sharks including Bull sharks, Mako sharks and of course the White Death. But unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to a group of three fishermen in July 1983 when their shrimp boat capsized in rough weather 60 miles from shore. On that fateful day, 28-year-old Ray Boundy and his crew of Dennis Patrick Murphy, 24, and Linda Anne Horton, 21 were set upon by the monster as they clung to the capsized vessel. The shocking attack began a few hours after their ship had sunk, leaving them floating on just a surfboard, a life ring and pieces of Styrofoam from shrimp boxes.
