drugs to give himself a competitive advantage in contests but they could have caused "serious harm" to others if they were wrongly used, a court has heard.Levesley, 39, of Forge Court, Thorngumbald, has been sentenced at Hull Crown Court after admitting two offences of possessing anabolic steroids with intent to supply.READ MORE: Elite Special Boat Service using fishing vessel to sneak up on drug smugglersThe court was told he’d bought them in bulk to make a sideline profit for himself, and he had involved his girlfriend and her parents in his scheme, reports Hull Live.But his plan unravelled when cops found stashes of the anabolic steroids at two addresses.Clair Willie, 36, of Ottringham Road, Keyingham, denied possessing anabolic steroids with intent to supply but admitted being concerned in the matter.David Godfrey, prosecuting, said police executed two drugs warrants – one at Forge Court, where the couple were living together at the time, and the other at the Ottringham Road address of Willie's parents, which was being used as a "safe" house for anabolic steroids.Large quantities of anabolic steroids in tablets and vials were found at both houses."Given the quantities, they were also plainly selling to other users in that fraternity," said Mr Godfrey.The prosecution claimed that the drugs were valued at £19,000 although defence lawyers claimed the true figure was between £5,500 and £7,500.Levesley had given a "straight denial" about the matter during a police interview and Willie made no comment.Recorder Peter Makepeace QC said: "The drugs were to be sold straight on to the public."He told Levesley: "You took them to give yourself a competitive advantage. You were supplying directly to others.
