Over £60,000-worth of items were stolen after a house was burgled twice while the owners were on holiday. Police stopped a car on August 12 and discovered designer bags and perfumes in the back that were deemed to have been stolen.

Bolton have been revealed in a new interactive map.   Astley Bridge had eight positive Covid-19 tests last week, higher than any other borough. Halliwell and Brownlow Fold had the second highest number of positive cases, with five being recorded during the week of July 27 to August 2. Kearsley and Stoneclough, Westhoughton West, Heaton and Deane and Lever Edge all had four positive tests. Westhoughton Daisy Hill, Westhoughton East, Harper Green, Springfield and Great Lever, Breightmet South and Darcy Lever, Rumworth North and Hall I' th' Wood all had three cases.
