Bolton coronavirus lockdown: Cases UP in all parts of borough - and what is being said about 'hotspots' and a 'super-spreader'

Bolton, according to one of the town's senior public health officials.Lynn Donkin, Bolton Council’s assistant director of public health, described the spike in the number of infections as 'a concern' but said there was no sign of any particular area becoming a hotspot.Last week, data from Public Health England (PHE) showed that the four areas with the highest number of number cases were all in the east of the town.In the week from August 24 to 30, the most new cases were recorded in Breightmet South & Darcy Lever, with 20 people having tested positive.However, Little Lever has since overtaken it as the area with the highest number of cases, with 23 new infections between August 30 and September 5.Over the same period, there were 20 new.
