Over £60,000-worth of items were stolen after a house was burgled twice while the owners were on holiday. Police stopped a car on August 12 and discovered designer bags and perfumes in the back that were deemed to have been stolen.
An investigation had been launched after an address in Darcy Lever, Bolton, was targeted twice on August 9 and August 12 while the victim and her family were away on holiday with an estimated £62k worth of assets stolen.
On August 12, Greater Manchester Police's Road Policing Unit stopped a VW Golf in Bolton and uncovered a haul of items in a holdall in the back of the car, including high value designer bags and perfumes. On Thursday, August 24, a 44-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and both remain in custody for questioning.
